Barcelona FC
After making his debut with the first team, Iniesta became one of the best players of the club and the world. In Barcelona, he won everything there is to win for a footballer, domestic league titles, La liga, domestic cups, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cups, UEFA Super Cups, and the UEFA Champions League numerous times. Individually speaking, he was close to winning the Ballon d Or in the season 2009-2010, which is given to the best player in the world. He ended up in the fifth position. In the season 2011-2012, He was chosen by UEFA as the best player in Europe. National Team
Iniesta began playing for Spain as a youngster, collecting UEFA championship medals in under-16 and under-19 categories. He debuted with the first team on 2006 coming in as a substitute in a game against Russia. In 2007, he was part of the group of players that achieved qualification for the 2008 Euro Cup. He was called up to play the 2008 Euro Cup and played all the matches. Not only did they win the competition but he was part of the ideal team of the competition. In 2010, Andres was called up to play the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. He played all the matches of the competition and scored the winning goal of the final against the Netherlands. In 2012, he was called up to play the 2012 Euro Cup playing all the games of the competition, defeating Italy in the final. Andres was chosen as the best player of the 2012 Euro Cup. Unfortunately for him, in 2014 World Cup, Spain did not make it out of the group stage and in the 2018 World Cup, they were eliminated by Russia in the round of 16. After the loss against Russia, Andres announced his retirement from international duty.
